After six months of hard work we are delighted to announce that the seven categories of TIPS Baby Skincare Awards 2010 are now online.
At TIPS, we aim to source the best products available. This is the second TIPS trial of baby skincare products. Many products previously trialled in 2007 have won awards again.
This trial is the largest carried out by TIPS independent parent testers to date. Over £4,000 worth of products sent out to hundreds of Testers, who completed and returned detailed questionnaires. 15 manufacturers kindly supplied 530 samples for 53 products (this includes the belly balm samples - this trial was carried out at the same time). We received 408 completed questionnaires, this represents a 77 percent return rate. I would like to say a special thank you to our team of dedicated Parent Testers whose comments and detailed feedback allow the TIPS testing programme to achieve a level of independence and impartiality that is second to none. I hope this process provides parents with a list of products that are safe to use manufactured by companies who also promote using only plain water for the first month of life.
