Current Question Camping
We're going on our first family camping trip this summer with the kids (aged 2 and 5). Does anyone have any tips on how i can keep them occupied? My ideas so far are;
- drawing pictures of the campsite.
- ball games.
- maybe a nature trail or something.
Other than that I'm completely stuck and have to have enough ideas up my sleeve for a week!
Thanks

How about trying a treasure hunt? You could set them a challenge to find 10 things on the list etc. Or do a nature treasure hunt? We like to make up songs for the camp fire, it could be about anything, or you could get them to make one up each day on a different theme?
Failing that, make sure you take favourite toys, colouring books etc.
Hope that helps.

Play dough - I make a batch of play dough and take it with me it amuzes my two plus other children (last week four children were sat playing with it and none were mine)and at the end of camp when you need to pack up "without help" set the children a challenge to make a fairy grotto-collect sticks, stones etc this can then be left under a tree for the fairies because its made of flour salt etc it will just disolve safely.
