Kids Beach Games
You don't have to spend money to have fun, and the best thing about the beach is it's free! Most of the ideas in The Little Book of Holiday Fun are childhood classics, but they still top the list of favourite activities with kids (and parents).
- Children love sandcastles and sculptures- make it work with decorations such as shells, seaweed, selfish or flags.
- *Play beachball football. Slightly under-inflate your beach ball if you have toddlers. It slows it down on the sand and makes it easier for them to kick it.

*Put on the Beach Olympics. Events can include Best Sandcastle, Dig The Largest Hole, Find The Prettiest Shell, and so on. Points are awarded based on who looks most likely to cry if they don't win, and the prize can be anything you want - from a flake in the top of the last ice cream of the day to a new toy.
Essential equipment: buckets/spades, flags, kites, pop up tent, throw away BBQ.
