Stepping Stones was one of 12 nominated baby and toddler groups voted for by mums and dads. These groups are a lifeline to new parents offering a range of activities for babies and toddlers, a cup of tea and someone to talk to - and all for just a pound or two.
The national awards celebrate the best children’s activities across the UK. The Baby & Toddler Group Award recognises and applauds all the hard working volunteers that run the thousands of baby and toddler groups held in community buildings across the UK every week.

Stepping Stones Pre-School Activity Group began in September 1993, as an initiative between Debbie Middleton and Victoria Jones - two members of St Thomas More Church and mums from the adjoining school. It was set up to bridge the gap for parents, before that daunting first day at the school gates!
Stepping Stones focuses on theme-based creative, imaginative and musical play - such as creepy crawlies and the five senses.
Whilst the children enjoy stories, making things, singing and quiet time, parents can chat over a cup of tea. |
